Senior QA Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance initiatives across multiple software products. This role combines manual and automated testing while collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and clients to ensure high-quality releases. The ideal candidate has a strong testing mindset, excellent communication skills, and enjoys improving QA processes from planning through deployment.
Responsibilities
Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile applications.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve regression test suites.
Create and maintain automated UI, API, and end-to-end test scripts.
Validate backend functionality through SQL queries and database verification.
Test REST APIs and webhook integrations to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Jira or similar project management tools.
Collaborate with Product Managers and Software Engineers during discovery, refinement, and sprint planning to identify edge cases and improve requirements.
Improve QA processes, release checklists, testing standards, and overall test coverage.
Participate in release readiness reviews and clearly communicate quality risks to stakeholders.
Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Test Engineering.
Strong experience designing and executing manual test cases based on detailed functional requirements.
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
Strong SQL skills for backend validation and troubleshooting.
Experience testing REST APIs and webhook-based integrations.
Experience using Jira, Linear, or similar issue-tracking tools.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
Nice to Have
Experience testing integrations with platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar eCommerce solutions.
Experience working in consulting, software agencies, or multi-client environments.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and QA best practices within deployment workflows.
Experience with performance or load testing tools.
Exposure to cloud-based applications and modern software architectures.
