About the Role

Sapphire Labs is seeking a strategic and hands-on Power BI Solutions Architect & Practice Lead to help build and scale a modern reporting and analytics capability for one of our clients.

This role goes beyond traditional dashboard development. We are looking for someone who can design scalable reporting frameworks, create reusable Power BI standards and templates, accelerate BI delivery timelines, and partner closely with executive stakeholders to shape reporting strategy and business insights.

The ideal candidate combines strong Power BI expertise with business acumen, consulting skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and executive reporting solutions

• Create reusable reporting templates, standards, semantic models, and best practices for broader BI adoption

• Partner directly with business and executive stakeholders to shape reporting strategies and recommendations

• Translate ambiguous or incomplete requirements into actionable reporting solutions

• Analyze underlying data to proactively recommend KPIs, measures, and dashboard structures

• Deliver reporting solutions quickly and iterate based on stakeholder feedback

• Leverage AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, or ChatGPT to accelerate reporting workflows and delivery timelines

• Mentor other Power BI developers and contribute to reporting governance and scalability initiatives

• Collaborate with Data Engineers and cross-functional teams on reporting and analytics projects

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Power BI-focused roles

• Strong expertise with:

  • Power BI

  • DAX

  • SQL

  • Data Modeling

  • Power Query

  • Dashboard Performance Optimization

• Experience building executive-level dashboards and operational reporting solutions

• Strong stakeholder-facing communication and consulting skills

• Ability to work independently and proactively in ambiguous environments

• Experience defining reporting standards, reusable assets, or scalable BI practices

• Advanced English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, or modern data platforms

• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP

• Previous consulting experience

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools within reporting workflows
